This event on AI and innovation will take place on Tuesday 9 June, from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm
GENyO, the joint Genomics and Cancer Research Centre run by Pfizer, the University of Granada and the Regional Government of Andalusia, will host the ‘Itinerant R&D Conference: Environments for Innovation: Intelligence for Transformation’ tomorrow, Tuesday 9 June. The event will take place from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm and will bring together institutional representatives, businesses and innovation specialists to analyse the impact of artificial intelligence and other disruptive technologies on the transformation of organisations and regions. The conference is organised by the University of Granada, Granada City Council, the I+E Foundation and the centre itself.
The institutional opening will feature the participation of GENyO’s scientific director, Marta E. Alarcón; the third deputy mayor of Granada City Council and delegate for Mobility, Citizen Protection, Urban Agenda, Sustainability and Next Generation Funds, Ana Isabel Agudo Martínez; and the president of the I+E Foundation, Sergio Rodríguez. GENyO will also be represented by Pedro Carmona, principal investigator of the Bioinformatics and Health Data Science group, who will take part in the panel discussion on the role of artificial intelligence in research and innovation.
The event will also feature success stories presented by companies such as Pfizer, IBM and The Adecco Group, as well as a panel discussion focusing on the challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence from scientific, business and institutional perspectives.
