There are no projects in the garbage can.
At GENyO, we view Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) as an approach to science aimed at generating excellent, useful and reliable knowledge, incorporating ethical and social criteria, as well as those relating to transparency, equality, participation and sustainability, from the very outset.
As a centre dedicated to genomics, cancer research, personalised medicine and advanced therapies, GENyO operates in fields of significant scientific and social impact. Consequently, our commitment to RRI strengthens the quality of research, public trust in science and the responsible transfer of knowledge to patients, healthcare professionals, institutions, businesses and the general public.
Responsible Research and Innovation is an approach that promotes the participation of the various stakeholders involved in science and innovation —researchers, the public, patients, public authorities, the healthcare sector, the business community, the educational community and social organisations— in order to anticipate impacts, identify real needs and foster more open, inclusive and responsible research.
In practice, RRI is not an isolated action, but a way of embedding responsibility throughout the entire research cycle: from the definition of priorities and project design through to implementation, communication, evaluation, data protection, knowledge transfer and the social impact of the results.
