There are no projects in the garbage can.
This area is designed to generate basic knowledge about the structure and regulation of the human genome, and to integrate it with approaches that allow us to modulate the function of our genes in the context of human diseases. Its configuration provides a balance between teams of experts in the knowledge of omics technologies, techniques for the analysis of large amounts of data, and groups that carry out functional assays in experimental models in vivo.
The main objective is the establishment of solid bases of knowledge of the genome for its subsequent transfer and application to the welfare of the citizen.
Strategic lines
This area is structured around 2 strategic lines: The Human Genome and Cancer Genomics, which address the study of the human genome and epigenome and the development of tools for their manipulation, as well as the study of new therapeutic approaches to different types of cancer.
